A Psalm of life / The tide rises, the tide falls
Fairness
and justice, two values that we need to take care of for our own good. First and
foremost we need to know their difference. Fairness is the quality of making judgments that are free
from discrimination. Although fairness isn't promised, guaranteed, or even
likely. It is a place where all things are treated as equals. Everyone is and
can expect to be judged exactly the same. All considerations are taken into
account prior to any decision or judgment being made or passed. In its idea, a
standard that any individual, family, town, city, state, country or planet can
and should strive towards if their interests are in keeping any resemblance of
order at all.
When
it comes to justice, it is the quality of being just or fair. Justice isn't
promised or guaranteed either. It would however be unfair if I said justice was
unlikely. I believe justice floats around 50/50 depending on luck and your
bankroll. In my opinion justice is the bouncer for fairness. Finally, I think
the difference is that fairness is about having a proper perspective and
justice is about having the right thing done. Fairness is the quality of making judgments that are free
from discrimination. Justice is
an action that is morally right and fair. I think the difference is that fairness is about having a proper
perspective and justice is
about having the right thing done.
In
A Psalm of life, the young man,
speaking from his heart, refuses to accept that life is “an empty dream”, or
that the soul is dead, that is unfair. Instead, he says that life is indeed
real and true, and that dead is not the goal of life. We are meant to act and
go beyond mere sorrow or happiness, and that is fair. When it comes to justice,
there is not much we can say. Our God is a God of justice, that is just the
reality.
The tide rises, the tide falls,
our second poem. Justice and fairness are
both implied to this poem, but justice is implied as a synonym of fairness but
on the exact meaning of justice is not because justice is about treating
everybody based on their merits or on how good or bad they have been and the
message of this poem is about everybody is treat equally in the cycle of life.
The cycle of life is not looking for bad people or good people is just
following the path of every living thing. We should not discriminate anyone,
that is the fair thing to do.
